The comedy animated series Family Guy is back for its 23rd season on Sunday night at FOX at 8 p.m. ET. Watch free on Fubo.

FOX brings back Family Guy on Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET for the debut of its 23rd season. Sick, twisted and politically incorrect, the animated series features the adventures of the Griffin family. Endearingly ignorant Peter and stay-at-home wife Lois reside in Quahog, R.I., and have three kids. Meg, the eldest child, is a social outcast, and teenage Chris is awkward and clueless when it comes to the opposite sex. The youngest, Stewie, is a genius baby bent on killing his mother and destroying the world. The talking dog, Brian, keeps Stewie in check while sipping martinis and sorting through his own life issues according to the show’s description.

In the first episode of the new season this “Top Gun” parody chronicles Peter/Maverick getting together with Lois/Charlie, the tragic death of Joe/Goose, and Peter/Maverick’s blooming relationship with Chris/Rooster.

The second new episode of the season next Sunday when Peter realises Joe has never found him funny, he is determined to make Joe laugh; Lois chaperones Chris and Meg’s school trip, where she strives to reunite the principal with his long-lost love.

Though Family Guy was briefly canceled after season 3, the series was revived a few years later and has continued for more than 20 years as an unstoppable TV juggernaut. Never particularly popular with critics, the show has had some minor success on the awards circuit and has snagged a few Emmys along the way. Much like its contemporaries South Park and The SimpsonsFamily Guy may be in its twilight years, but its place as a genuine staple of Aughts popular culture is undeniable. Even if it has fallen off a bit, Family Guy isn’t stopping anytime soon according to screenrant.com.
