Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage returns on Thursday night for its season one winter premiere at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.

CBS brings back Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage on Thursday night at 8 p.m. ET. The show is the third TV series in The Big Bang Theory franchise and a direct sequel to and spin-off of the coming-of-age sitcom Young Sheldon. The series focuses on the marriage of young parents Georgie Cooper and Mandy McAllister. Georgie and Mandy navigate the challenges of adulthood, parenting, and marriage while raising their young family in Texas. The show stars Montana Jordan, Emily Osment and Rachel Bay Jones.

In the previous two episodes of the season Georgie joins a church to sell tires to the congregation and Mandy worries there is more to it than that and then Georgie worries that he’s leaving Connor out of his new project with Jim; Mandy and Audrey struggle to decorate CeeCee’s nursery without fighting.

In the brand new episode on Thursday night Tensions rise when Georgie intrudes on Mandy’s new sales gig; Audrey’s conflicted when Jim makes it a point not to coddle Connor.

“We were really trying to honor the tone of ‘Young Sheldon,’ and not just have a dramatic departure,” executive producer Steve Holland said. “I mean, it still lives in that world. We still felt like it needed to have a continuity with that world. And also, moving forward into multi-cam, I think there are  a lot of things that people react to that are sort of an old fashioned style of multi-cam that are very bright and very heavily laughed. We didn’t think we needed to do that kind of show… I think if you’re a ‘Young Sheldon’ fan, the fact that it’s a multi will fade into the background very quickly. It will just feel like you’re watching that world again.”
