Learn about the origin of some of the most memorable songs to win Grammies with a CBS special on Friday night at 9 p.m. ET.

With award season just around the corner, networks and the award shows themselves are in full prep. On February 2, 2025, the Grammy’s will air on CBS, but first, viewers will be able to take a look back at some of the most memorable Grammy-winning songs and learn about how they came to be with Grammy Greats: The Stories Behind the Songs airing at 9 p.m. ET on CBS. Gayle King and Mickey Guyton will serve as hosts for this special which will feature Grammy winners for Song of the Year while discussing the stories behind their creations.

Over the years, a number of different artists have won the coveted Song of the Year Grammy and this special will give viewers a chance to hear from the winners aside from the quick speech given upon receipt of the award. On Friday night, interviews include Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas, Richard Marx, Alicia Keys, John Mayer, Mark Ronson, Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald, Brandi Carlile, Bonnie Raitt, Sting and Lady A.

In addition to the interviews, the special will also air previous performances and behind-the-scene-footage. Featured artists and their songs in the special include Adele’s “Hello”, Alicia Keys’ “Fallin'”, Amy Winehouse’s “Rehab”, Billie Eilish & Finneas’ “Bad Guy”, Bonnie Raitt’s “Just Like That”, John Mayer’s “Daughters”, Kenny Loggins & Michael McDonald’s “What A Fool Believes” and Sting’s “Every Breath You Take.”

Tune in on Friday night to revisit some of the most memorable awards doled out across years of Grammy shows as well as some of the most moving performances to ever grace the stage.
