Hostage Rescue will premiere on Tuesday night on the CW for an all-new true crime series.
The CW is dipping its toes in the proverbial reality television pool on Tuesday night with the premiere of Hostage Rescue at 9 p.m. ET. The new show will follow real-life rescue missions as heroes, both likely and unlikely, step in to help free hostages both on United States soil and abroad. Life and death hang in the balance as the show tells the stories of both the victims and brave heroes who risk everything to save them. The show is executive produced by Maria Awes, Andy Awes and Falguni Lakhani Adams. Maria and Andy co-own Committee Films, Inc. in Minneapolis, Minnesota and have worked on several big name docu-series such as 20/20 and The Killer Next Door.

Tuesday night’s premiere titled “Danger at the Door” will follow the horrible events the Samuelson Family had to endure. A quick-thinking mom steps up to keep her family alive after an armed stranger appears late at night insider her home. Mrs. Samuelson explains how she was able to keep the intruder distracted while waiting for police to arrive, but he ran before they were able to get to her home. The story continues with a manhunt that resulted in a wild standoff.
