Michael Strahan and family discuss the impacts of his daughter’s cancer on an exclusive series called Life Interrupted on ABC Wednesday night.

It has not been all sunshine and roses for Michael Strahan, the New York Giants Ring of Honor member, after his departure from football. The new exclusive from ABC starring the Strahan family will premiere on ABC on Wednesday night. Isabella Strahan, his daughter, was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a common fast-growing malignant brain tumor, in October 2023. Following her diagnosis, she underwent surgery to remove the mass, followed by chemotherapy and radiation treatment.

The exclusive production follows her diagnosis, treatment, recovery, and recent return to college cancer-free. Isabella reflects on her fight and setbacks along the way, and she also discusses her decision to go public with her story by starting a YouTube series, benefiting The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke and documenting her battle. The special will also include other cancer patients inspired by Isabella’s message.

Isabella’s family, including dad Strahan, mom Jean Muggli , and twin sister Sophia, discuss the emotional toll of supporting a loved one battling cancer, and her doctors discuss Isabella’s treatment, fight, and prognosis.

Her dad, Michael Strahan, is an ex-NFL star. Strahan starred for the New York Giants from 1993-2007. He won Super Bowl XLII and was the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2021. He is a four-time first-team All-Pro, a seven-time Pro Bowler, and a two-time NFL sack leader. He is also a member of the NFL 2000s All-Decade Team and has his No. 92 retired in New York.
