The competition Race to Survive Alaska returns on Monday for season two, as nine teams learn Alaska’s deceptive beauty packs a vicious punch.
The first episode on Monday in Race to Survive Alaska is titled “Water and Ice.” With no food or shelter, they must fend for themselves and survive off the land. Over the course of six different race legs, 46 days, and 300 square miles, teams will traverse through some of the harshest and most extraordinary landscapes in the world, from sprawling mountain ranges to massive prehistoric glaciers and suffocating rainforests.
In the first season of the series, brothers Oliver and Wilson Hoogendorn, competing as the AK Boys, took home the championship. It came with a $500,000 cash prize.

The first season of Race to Survive: Alaska aired starting in March and showcased eight teams embarking on a competition to survive the Alaskan wilderness. The brothers competed over the summer across the 50-day survival course, becoming the first winners of the show. The eight teams of two competed in six races over 100 miles of wilderness in rough and rural Alaska.
