Robyn McCall, an enigmatic woman with a mysterious background, uses her extensive skills to help those with nowhere else to turn; McCall comes across to most as an average single mom who is quietly raising her teenage daughter; but to a trusted few, she is “The Equalizer” — an anonymous guardian angel and defender of the downtrodden, who’s also dogged in her pursuit of personal redemption according to the show’s description. The show stars Queen Latifahas McCall, Liza Lapira as Melody and Laya DeLeon Hayes as Delilah.

In the last two episodes of the show McCall and Mel go under cover in a prison to find a woman who went missing on the day she was scheduled to be released. Then a joyous and merry Christmas turns dark when McCall, Dante and Miles find themselves held hostage in a hospital that’s been taken over by a cartel.

In the brand new episode of Sunday night after a young girl is the victim of a shootout, the team races to find out if a gang war is afoot and whether the crime is connected to a shipment of stolen guns McCall is chasing down; Aunt Vi and Delilah prepare for their respective dates.
