Season 3 of the Hallmark Channel’s The Way Home will premiere this Friday night.

Once again our setting for The Way Home, an intergenerational show, will be in the charming town of Port Haven. Season 3 begins on Friday on the Hallmark Channel. This show asks the question of what it would be like to get to meet your parents when they were your age. When life gives us tough obstacles to face with our family, maybe to understand how we truly got there together is to travel back. That’s exactly what Alice, played by Sadie Laflamme-Snow, does when she falls into a pond in the first season and discovers that she can travel through time. There Alice gets to see her mom Kat Landry (Chyler Leigh) and her grandmother Del Landry (Andie MacDowell) and gets to see them from a whole new perspective.

For any child, this would be a fantastic super power to gain, some more relatability with our parents and gain a whole new sense of empathy and understanding. This magical premise picks up right where we left off in Season 2 when Kat and her brother Jacob (Spencer Macpherson), are on their way to meet their mother Del who is unsuspecting. To give some backstory, Jacob went missing at eight-years-old, more than two decades ago. The Landry home will never be the same and hopefully there can be some healing that will only bring this family closer together.

The cool thing about this season is that the pond will transport us to the 1970s where Del met her true love Colton. Alice’s grandmother doesn’t want any of her memories to change about Colton though. This is all while Kat tries to navigate her way out of the 19th century, while she tries to balance her relationship with Elliot in the present day. Time traveling has its benefits, but it can be difficult enough to juggle everything in one timeline. See how it all comes together in the exciting premiere.
