TMZ will air a new special about beloved Matthew Perry’s heartbreaking death on Monday night at 10 p.m.
It was no secret that Matthew Perry struggled with addiction for years following the end of his most notable role as Chandler Bing on Friends. On Monday night, TMZ will take a look inside his tragic death in 2023 and the drugs that led to it with TMZ Investigates: Matthew Perry & the Secret Celebrity Drug Ring airing at 10 p.m. on FOX. In the special, TMZ’s investigators take a look into the life Perry lived that ultimately led to his untimely death nearly a year ago. Since that fateful day, multiple individuals have been arrested in relation to his accidental ketamine overdose, including doctors and his longtime assistant who administered those fatal doses.

In total, five individuals have been arrested in connection to Perry’s death, including two doctors, Dr. Mark Chavez and Dr. Salvador Plascencia. It is clear that when the doctors took an oath to “Do no harm,” it did not extend to Perry as they instead looked to profit off of his addiction instead of assist him with his journey to live a sober life. Jasveen Sangha, nicknamed “The Ketamine Queen,” Erik Fleming and Kenneth Isamasa were also charged in his death.
