Week 6 Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Adds

This marks the last week of the NBA In-Season Tournament, making it another important week in the NBA.

This is another week for fantasy managers to try and navigate the waiver wire to gain an edge on an opponent. The end of your bench and utility players are the key to wins every week no matter how great your stars play.

As with every week this season, these are all players that are rostered on less than 50 percent of Yahoo Fantasy Hoops Leagues at the moment. Make sure you are on top of your waiver wire additions early and often to avoid falling behind in your league. Every point, rebound, assists and three-pointer matters.

Guards

Jaden Ivey (48 percent rostered)

Four Games: Washington Wizards (Monday), Los Angeles Lakers (Wednesday), @ New York Knicks (Thursday) and Cleveland Cavaliers (Saturday)

Over his last two games Ivey has totaled 42 points, six rebounds and six assists on 66.7 percent shooting. He seems to be finding a rhythm this season.

Keyonte George (46 percent rostered)

Four Games: New Orleans Pelicans (Monday), @ Memphis Grizzlies (Wednesday), @ Minnesota Timberwolves (Thursday) and Portland Trail Blazers (Saturday)

With four games on the schedule this week, it gives the rookie plenty of opportunity. George has started the last eight games, scoring in double-figures four times and dishing out at least five assists in every game.

Reggie Jackson (23 percent rostered)

Four Games: @ Los Angeles Clippers (Monday), Houston Rockets (Wednesday), @ Phoenix Suns (Friday) and @ Sacramento Kings (Saturday)

Jackson has filled in admirably for Jamal Murray over the last 10 games as the starting point guard. Last week in four games Jackson totaled 56 points, 24 assists and 18 rebounds. The one caveat for Jackson is that he has only shot over 50 percent from the field in one week this season.

Forwards

Obi Toppin (45 percent rostered)

Three Games: Portland Trail Blazers (Monday) and @ Miami Heat (twice, Thursday and Saturday)

Toppin has scored at least 14+ points in five of his last six games shooting at least 61 percent from the field in four of five weeks. He is an efficient scorer off the bench that has shown the ability to sprinkle in rebounds, assists and three-pointers this season.

Norman Powell (42 percent Rostered)

Four Games: Denver Nuggets (Monday), @ Sacramento Kings (Wednesday) and the Golden State Warriors twice (Thursday road and Saturday home)

This season Powell has become better week-by-week. Last week was his best overall statistical week with 14.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game on 55.9 percent shooting. Powell also shot 92.3 percent from the free throw line and made 2.3 three-pointers per game.

Harrison Barnes (39 percent rostered)

Three Games: Golden State Warriors (Tuesday), Los Angeles Clippers (Wednesday) and Denver Nuggets (Saturday)

Last week Barnes found a rhythm he has not had all season. He finished the week with averages of 18.7 points and 3.7 rebounds on 51.5 percent shooting. He also made an average of 3.0 three-pointers per game. Now he has three home games this week against his former team, a clunky Los Angeles team and the defending champions.

Centers

Goga Bitadze (32 percent rostered)

Three Games: Washington Wizards (Wednesday/Friday) and @ Brooklyn Nets (Saturday)

Over the last two weeks Bitadze has become a steady cog in the Orlando Magic rotation with Wendell Carter Jr. out with injury. He has totaled 67 points, 57 rebounds, 14 blocks with one double-double.

Day’Ron Sharpe (7 percent rostered)

Three Games: Toronto Raptors (Tuesday), Charlotte Hornets (Thursday) and Orlando Magic (Saturday)

As a deep bench player Sharpe brings shot blocking and the potential for double-doubles. He finished last week averaging 6.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game.

Dario Saric (35 percent rostered)

Three Games: @ Sacramento Kings (Tuesday) and Los Angeles Clippers (Thursday home, Saturday road)

Saric has been terrific in the absence of Draymond Green, averaging 14.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. He is also making 2.2 three-pointers per game during Green’s suspension. Green is available this week, which shouldn’t impact Saric, who was already averaging 9.2 points and 6.6 rebounds per game before the expanded role.

Specialists

THREE-POINTERS Eric Gordon (50 percent rostered)

Games: @ Toronto Raptors (Wednesday), Denver Nuggets (Friday) and Memphis Grizzlies (Saturday)

Over his last three games Gordon has splashed home 13 total three-pointers and has averaged at least 3+ made three-pointers per game four straight weeks this season.

STEALS Dyson Daniels (37 percent rostered)

Four Games: @ Utah Jazz (Monday), Philadelphia 76ers (Wednesday), San Antonio Spurs (Friday) and @ Chicago Bulls (Saturday)

This season Daniels has been one of the best thieves in the NBA and one of the most consistent. He averaged at least 2.3 steals per game for two straight weeks while also filling up the stat sheet in every other category.

POINTS Cole Anthony (53 percent rostered)

Three Games: Washington Wizards (twice, Wednesday and Friday) and @ Brooklyn Nets (Saturday)

Cheating a little here with Anthony, but the sixth man of the Orlando Magic has become better every week this season. He is filling a huge scoring void for the team off the bench with 20.3 points, 5.8 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game last week. Anthony has the potential to be a season-long keeper if this maintains with his ability to score and fill up the stat sheet.
