Costa Rica opened up the second round last year in June with games against St. Kitts and Nevis and Grenada. It won the first game 4-0 and the second game 3-0. Orlando Galo was the only player to come away from those two games with two goals. This June, it opened up with an 8-0 defeat against the Bahamas. Galo had another goal in that win, while Warren Madrigal had two.

Trinidad and Tobago is giving Costa Rica a run for its money. Through three games in the group stage thus far, the nation is 2-1-0 with a total of seven points on the table and the No. 2 team in the group. Last June, it opened up the qualifiers with a draw against Grenada 2-2 and a domination of the Bahamas 7-1.

Reon Moore scored two goals in that stretch, one against each team. Fast forward a year later and the team picked up right where it left off. Just a few days ago, it dominated St. Kitts and Nevis 6-2. Dante Sealy scored twice in the win, tying Moore for the most goals in the qualifiers for Trinidad and Tobago.
