The Netherlands will make a belated start to 2026 World Cup qualifying when it travels to Finland on Saturday. Watch the game live and for free on Fubo today.

After falling short in their shot at the UEFA Nations League crown, the Netherlands will get back to business in 2026 World Cup qualifying on Saturday when it visits Finland. De Oranje are playing catch-up on the rest of UEFA Group G but can close within three points of current leader Poland with a win at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium, where they have won on each of their last two visits. Ronald Koeman’s side managed to reach the quarter-finals of the last World Cup in Qatar nearly three years ago and will have big hopes of eclipsing that feat as they go in search of a maiden title.

The Netherlands was devastated not to feature in the final four of this year’s UEFA Nations League after losing out to European champion Spain via a penalty shootout in March.

De Oranje managed to hold La Roja to draws in both legs of their quarter-final clash as they finished on five goals apiece over 180 minutes, only for the former to lose 5-4 on spot-kicks:

Noa Lang and Donyell Malen missed the critical efforts from 12 yards to send the Netherlands out of the competition, though the nation technically still remains unbeaten in its last four games.

Inter Milan duo Denzel Dumfries and Stefan de Vrij have special cause to go in search of redemption after finishing as runners-up to PSG in the recent Champions League final.

Finland, meanwhile, has never qualified for a World Cup and has made a promising start after beating Malta and drawing in Lithuania, though that latter result came with disappointment considering it led by two goals early on.

Vice-captain Teemu Pukki will likely be making his last run at World Cup glory, though the Eagle-owls’ all-time top scorer will be hoping to contribute and add to his haul of 42 international goals at his home stadium.
