Asa Newell and Georgia will take the court against SEC rival Walter Clayton Jr and No. 5 Florida on Saturday afternoon.

Georgia will travel to Gainesville, Florida, on Saturday afternoon for a showdown in the Southeastern Conference. In Gainesville, they will take on the No. 5 ranked team in men’s college basketball at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center. The Florida Gators are 17-2 overall this season. After finishing with a 13-0 record against non-conference teams, including wins over North Carolina and Wake Forest, they are just 4-2 since starting conference play in the SEC. They lost to Kentucky in their first game of the month 100-106 before beating former top-ranked Tennessee by 30 points.

Alijah Martin led the team with 18 points in that monstrous win. Since then, they have driven that momentum into wins against Arkansas, Missouri, and most recently South Carolina. Walter Clayton Jr leads this top-five offense in the country. He is averaging 17.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. Martin followed Clayton Jr with 16.2 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.

This Georgia Bulldogs team is nothing to be messed with despite being unranked in the AP Top 25. They are 14-4 overall this season which includes a 2-3 record against teams in the SEC.
