Top-seeded Montverde Academy opens its quest for a 4th straight Chipotle Nationals title against Faith Family Academy

Montverde Academy (25-1) from Montverde, Florida, is the top seed for the girls bracket at the Chipotle Nationals at Hamilton Southeastern High School in Fishers, Indiana, and on Friday takes on No. 4 seed Faith Family Academy (15-6) from Dallas in a semifinal on Friday. The Eagles are already the only girls team to win consecutive titles at the event and are after a fourth consecutive championship. The Lady Eagles from Faith Family make their first appearance at the Chipotle Nationals in 2025 and have won their last two games, while Montverde has 18 straight wins since its only loss this season.

The Eagles last played on Feb. 25, taking a 55-41 victory over visiting DME Academy. Saniyah Hall filled the stat sheet with 21 points, 15 rebounds and four blocked shots while Missy Odom added 10 points. Montverde has two of the top five seniors in the nation, wing Agot Makeer (South Carolina) and guard Aaliyah Crump (Texas), ranked No. 4 and 5 respectively on the espnW 100. Wing Holland Harris (Clemson) and forward Lourdes Da Silva Costa (Alabama) are also on the list.

Faith Family lost in the Texas Christian Athletic League championship game to Legion Prep, 57-52, on Feb. 28 and dropped a 70-48 decision at Montverde on Jan. 18 during the 2025 MLK Sunshine Classic. The Lady Eagles feature a senior on the espnW 100 in Alabama signee Joy Egbuna, a 6-foot-3 forward.

Montverde’s Hall is the No. 1 junior in the nation, per the espnW 60 for the 2026 class, and Odom is also on that list while sophomore point guard Jayla Forbes is No. 13 on the espnW 25 for the Class of 2027. Faith Family junior forward Amari Byles and guard Amayah Garcia each appear on the 2026 espnW 60 and sophomore guard Finley Chastain is on the espnW 25 for 2027.
