Wesley Bryan survives a wild 3rd round with his 1-shot lead intact as he looks to go wire-to-wire at the Corales Puntacana Championship.
Wesley Bryan shot a ragged two-under-par 70 on Saturday, reclaiming a one-shot lead with a birdie at the par-four 18th at the Corales Puntacana Championship in the Dominican Republic. Bryan holed seven birdies to go with five bogeys in an uneven showing on moving day, holding a one-shot edge over Kevin Tway at 17-under-par entering the Sunday’s final round. In just his second start of the season, Bryan opened the tournament with a 63 on Thursday before carding a 66 on Friday. Billy Horschel entered Sunday in solo fifth after a third-round 66 and stands three shots back. Parker Coody, Alex Smalley, Charley Hoffman, Greyson Sigg and Bill Haas share sixth place at 13-under, four shots behind Bryan.
Pendrith carded the low round of the day on Saturday with a seven-under-par 65 to make a big move up the leadetboard.
