The Golf Channel brings live coverage of the Toto Japan Classic, Second Round at 11 p.m. ET on Thursday night. Hana Wakimoto comes into the second round with a two shot lead after she shot a nine-under 63 in the first round. Her outstanding has her two shots up on Jin Young Ko and three shots up on a group of four players. Wakimoto got off to a great start as she birdied two of the first three holes and was four-under on the back nine. She was even better on the front nine and she birdied the first two holes and came in at five-under. She didn’t bogey a hole and recorded nine birdies on the day. It was a great start to the tournament for Wakimoto and she will look to continue the good play in the second round on Thursday.

Young Ko, though, will be looking to track her down after she shot a seven-under 65 in the first round. Young Ko got off to a slow start as she didn’t record a birdie until the fifth hole, but she picked it up on the back nine as she birdied six of the last nine holes. It was a great finish for her and she will look to carry that into the second round.

Young Ko doesn’t have a lot of wiggle room, though, as she is just one shot up on Linn Grant, Ayaka Furue, Hyo Joo Kim and Jenny Shin. All four women shot a six-under 66 in the first round.

They are followed by three players at five-under 67 and five more at four-under 68. It is shaping for at tight race at the top, but they are all chasing Wakimoto after the first round.
