The FedEx Cup Fall series swings into Las Vegas as Tom Kim aims for third straight win. Watch the first round free on Fubo.

For the first time since 2011, a PGA Tour professional has a chance at a third consecutive event win as Tom Kim tees off on Thursday afternoon at TPC Summerlin in the first round of the Shriners Children’s Open. Kim leads a field of 132 players on the 7,255-yard Par 71 course where last year he shot a final round 66 to beat Adam Hadwin by one shot to take home his third career PGA Tour victory. Two-time winner at this event Martin Laird, who won in a playoff in 2020 and in 2009, is in the field this week as is 2014 champion Webb Simpson and 2012 winner Ryan Moore.

Last week’s winner at the Black Desert Championship in Utah Matt McCarty is grouped with Kim and Kevin Yu who picked up the Sanderson Farms Championship victory in Mississippi earlier this month. The left-handed McCarty made his PGA Tour debut earlier this year after winning three times on the Korn Ferry Tour this summer and has four wins in his last 10 starts across both tours.

The FedEx Cup Fall series is a final chance for players to earn their 2025 Tour card by finishing in the top 125 on the points list. Vince Whaley, who currently sits at 125, leads Daniel Berger by just six points for the final spot.

The winner of this event earns 500 FedEx Cup points and takes home a share of the $8.4 million prize purse which totaled $1,512,000 for Kim last year.

A win for Kim would make him just the second player and the first since Jim Furyk to win three titles in Las Vegas.
