The FedExCup Fall schedule concludes on Georgia’s Saint Simons Island with many battles for exempt status in 2025. The first round is on Thursday.

Defending champion Ludvig Åberg returns to competition on Thursday after knee surgery in September, looking to repeat at The RSM Classic. It will be played on the Seaside and Plantation courses of Sea Island Golf Club in Saint Simons Island, Georgia. Åberg has full status for next season after finishing in the top 50 of the FedExCup standings, but battles remain for full Tour status and other perks as the FedExCup Fall schedule wraps up this weekend. Players who finish 51-60 on the points list earn Tour cards and entry into the first two Signature events of next season, the Pebble Beach Pro-Am and Genesis Invitational.

The tournament was established in 2010, with Robert Streb the only two-time winner, taking down the top spot in 2014 and 2020. Åberg set a tournament record at 29-under-par last year while beating Mackenzie Hughes by four strokes. This year’s winner earns $1.44 million from the event’s $8 million purse.

The coveted 51-60 spots currently belong to Hughes, Maverick McNealy, Patrick Rodgers, Harris English, Séamus Power, Ben Griffin, Tom Kim, Nick Taylor, Nico Echavarria and Justin Rose.

But with Kim, Taylor and Rose not in Georgia for the event, the door is open for Kevin Yu and others to move up. Yu, currently in 61st place, gets into the top 60 with a solo 66th or better. Lucas Glover, No. 62, moves into the Aon Next 10 with a two-way tie for 52nd or better, while Mark Hubbard and Jake Knapp need finishes of at least solo 28th and solo 24th, respectively, to make the jump.
