    Nevada high school baseball features two of the best teams in the state in Bishop Manogue and Reno on Thursday.

    Heading into Thursday’s matchup between two of the best teams in Nevada high school baseball, both fifth-ranked Bishop Manogue (20-5) and 11th ranked Reno (19-10) are looking to bounce back after a loss. The Miners are coming off a loss to 27th ranked Reed where they scored their third-fewest runs of the season. This year the Miners are a force on the offensive end of the diamond, scoring an average of 9.9 runs per game. They take on the Huskies, who are also looking to bounce back from a loss in a nail-biter to 14th ranked Spanish Springs. In that loss the Huskies fell 5-4 in one of the most competitive games of the season for both teams.

    This is the second game of the season between the teams. In the first game roughly a month ago, the Miners came out on top in an 8-7 showdown. That game showed just how good both teams are this season and how tough they might look come the playoffs.
