Dynamic Prep (32-4) came to the Chipotle Nationals as the No. 10 seed in the 10-team field but advanced to the quarterfinals on Wednesday with a victory over defending champion Montverde Academy from Florida. On Thursday, Dynamic Prep — located in Irving, Texas — takes on No. 2-seeded Link Academy (23-8) from Branson, Missouri, at Hamilton Southeastern High School in Fishers, Indiana. Dynamic Prep, which doesn’t have a nickname, has won its last 10 games while the Lions have taken their last six, including the championship of the inaugural Nike Elite Youth Basketball League tournament last month.

Jaden Toombs finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds and Dynamic Prep never trailed in its 67-52 win over Montverde Academy on Wednesday. Ja’Cobe Coleman added 16 points and five steals. Dynamic Prep has three seniors on the ESPN 100 list, including Toombs, a 6-foot-9 center signed with SMU; power forward Chris Nwuli (signed with Rutgers) and small forward Jermaine O’Neal Jr. (also signed with SMU).

Link Academy knocked off Long Island Lutheran in the Nike EYBL final on March 8. Chris Cenac had 22 points and six blocks in the win while Trent Perry went for 16 points. Cenac, a 6-foot-10 center and a Houston commit, is No. 6 on the ESPN 100 for the Class of 2025. Four other Lion seniors are on the list, including point guard Jerry Easter (USC commit), shooting guard Davion Hannah (Alabama signee), center A’mare Bynum (Ohio State signee) and center John Clark (Texas signee).

Dynamic Prep also has a pair of ESPN 25 sophomores on the roster, No. 3-ranked power forward Marcus Spears Jr. and sixth-ranked small forward Ryan Hampton. Sophomore small forward Malachi Jordan of Link Academy is 18th on the same listing.
