Ohio high school basketball features a matchup between the East Liverpool Potters and Steubenville Big Red on Friday.
For the second time this season East Liverpool (14-5) and Steubenville (14-2) face-off in Ohio high school basketball action on Friday. Heading into this game the Potters have won three straight games and are working their way up the state rankings. The Big Red have won two straight games fueled by a consistent offense that has scored 55 or more points in 11 straight games. In the first game between the teams the Big Red offense was on its A-game, scoring over 80 points for the seventh time this season. They will look to ride their offense to another win against the Potters, this time on the road.

In that first game the Big Red cruised to an 80-43 win over the Potters at home. That win was a part of a season-high 12 game winning streak that was snapped two games later. During that stretch the Big Red showcased why they are one of the best teams in the state.
That loss for the Potters was the first in a season-high three game losing streak. They lost the next two by a combined nine points. Since then they have found their groove again winning three straight games by a combined 48 points.
The Big Red have gone 3-1 since the first game against the Potters. They lost a nail-biter to St. Clairsville (71-69) followed with back-to-back wins by 26 and 20 points. Aiden Davis is coming off a monster game, shooting 8-for-11 from three, finishing with 26 points and five rebounds for the Big Red.
