The Cougars will be a hard team to beat in the semifinals for the Chargers as the team is currently 33-4 on the season. The team picked up a 51-43 win over Aurora Christian after jumping out to an early lead on Monday night. While the game was close through the first three quarters, Eastland was able to pull away in the fourth, denying Aurora Christian a return to the state tournament. Parker Krogman led the team offensively, finishing the game with 16 points, but he struggled to hold onto the ball, turning it over eight times. While Krogman has led in scoring all season for the Cougars, Adam Awender and Peyton Spears have also contributed greatly to the offensive play, assisting where needed with shooting, rebounding and assisting.

Peoria Christian will now look to extend its win streak to nine games on Thursday, putting the team through to the title game while the Cougars have the chance to win their 10th game in a row.
