The best athletes in high school basketball come together for the Sprite JamFest ahead of the McDonald’s All-American Games.

One of the biggest weeks in high school basketball starts with the Sprite JamFest. This event brings the best high school athletes, boys and girls, together for an All-Star event that in some years is more exciting than NBA All-Star Saturday Night. The event features a dunk contest, three-point shootout and a skills challenge. In the past there has been a legends event that featured the likes of Jayson Tatum and Tyrese Maxey. One of the most unique elements of this event is that the contests mix the boys and girls players allowing anyone to win the dunk contest. That created incredible moments like Candice Parker (2004), Francesca Belibi (2019) and Ashlyn Watkins (2022) each win the dunk contest.

Over the years this event has also featured show stealing performances from LeBron James, Blake Griffin, DeMar DeRozan and Zion Williamson. They all made their mark here before making the jump to the NBA.

There will be a dunk contest, three-point shootout and a knockout game during this year’s Sprite JamFest. All of the events take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The judges for this year’s contest are Chicago Sky star Angel Reese, McDonald’s mascot Grimace along with GloRilla and Speedy.

The Sprite JamFest kicks off a week that will also feature the McDonald’s All-American Game and several other national championship games. This is the most exciting week in high school basketball with dunks and threes and all-star games for the best players in the game.
