Air Force and Robert Morris will look to climb the standings with a win on Saturday as the regular season comes to a close.

The Air Force Falcons will travel to western Pennsylvania this weekend to take on the Robert Morris Colonials for a pair of games at Clearview Arena to close out the regular season. The Colonials came into the weekend with a spot in ninth place in the Atlantic Hockey America standings with a conference record of 7-14-3 and an overall record of 10-18-4. The team’s last games were played against Niagara last weekend and the results were split. The Colonials earned a 4-3 win in overtime in the first game while the second game went in favor of the Purple Eagles with a 2-1 overtime victory. Cameron Garvey, Walter Zacher, George Krotiris and Mitch Deelstra scored in the first game while Garvey scored the only goal in the second. Croix Kochendorfer combined for 70 saves over the weekend and went 1-1 over the two games in net.

The Falcons were sitting in seventh place coming into this weekend, boasting an AHA record of 10-13-1 and an overall record of 13-19-2. Last weekend, the team took on armed forces rival Army, losing 2-1 in the first game and dropping the second in a shootout following a 4-4 draw that took the teams into overtime. Sam Stitz finished the weekend with two goals while Andrew DeCarlo, Clayton Cosentino and Nick Sajevic were responsible for the others. Despite the strong play, the Falcons came up short against the fifth place Black Knights. Guy Blessing played between the pipes in both games and made a total of 34 points between the two.
