An ECAC matchup will take place on Saturday evening between Cornell and Harvard in men’s college hockey action.

On Saturday night, a top 20 game will take place when No. 6 Cornell travels to take on No. 20 Harvard at the Bright-Landry Hockey Center. Coming into the weekend, Harvard was in third place in the ECAC standings with a record of 2-1-0 against conference opponents. The team was riding a two-game win streak into Friday night’s game against Colgate University with its most recent game being a 3-0 win over No. 15 Quinnipiac last weekend. Against the Bobcats, the Crimson performed well, outshooting Quinnipiac 29-25. With goals in each of the three periods, two of which were on power plays, the team was able to add another three points to its tally. Ben MacDonald got things started in the first before Lucas St. Louis made it a 2-0 game in the second. With an empty net, Justin Solovey ended the Bobcats’ hopes for a comeback with the final goal. Aku Koskenvuo made 25 saves in net to earn his first shutout of the young season.

Against the Bears, Cornell fell behind in the first period, but battled back in with two goals from Dalton Bancroft to go ahead 2-1. Brown pulled its goalie in the waning minutes of the game to try and find the equalizer, but Ryan Walsh used the opportunity to put the game away, adding three points in the team’s first ECAC win. Ian Shane was tested in net, but finished the game with 18 saves.
