No. 12 Arizona State and No. 5 Denver will meet for the second time in as many days in NCHC play on Saturday night. Watch free on Fubo.

The No. 12 Arizona State Sun Devils will host the No. 5 Denver Pioneers on Saturday night for an NCHC matchup after playing each other on Friday night, as well. Coming into the weekend, the Sun Devils held the top spot in the NCHC standings with an overall record of 16-9-1 and a conference record of 11-5-0. The team had won six of its last eight conference games with the most recent victories being a pair of wins against Miami (OH) last weekend, outscoring the RedHawks 11-2. Matthew Kopperud leads the Sun Devils in scoring this season with a total of 23 goals while Lukas Sillinger leads the team with overall points at 48 earned from 11 goals and an impressive 37 assists. The team will need both of those men to step up on Saturday night to pull off a win against a strong Pioneer squad.

The Pioneers were sitting in fifth place in the league table ahead of Friday night’s game with a record of 8-5-1 against conference opponents and a record of 19-6-1 overall. Last weekend, the team took on Omaha, losing in a shootout to the Mavericks before bouncing back to win handily in the second game by a score of 11-2. James Reeder and Rieger Lorenz were the only two players who scored multiple goals with two each, showing the depth of the Denver roster as seven other players were able to find the back of the net.

This is the second two-game series of the season between Denver and Arizona State. The teams last met in Denver in November and although the Pioneers were ranked No. 1 nationally, it was the Sun Devils who walked out of that weekend victorious with a 5-2 win in the first game and a 3-2 win in the second. Tune in Saturday night to see which of the teams can pull off the win in the series finale.
