Notre Dame looks to end a 7-game losing streak when it takes on Harvard at the Friendship Four in Belfast on Friday.

Notre Dame (5-9-0) opened November with a victory. It’s been a rough month since, as the Fighting Irish take a seven-game losing streak to the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on Friday for its Friendship Four first-round game against Harvard (2-3-1). The teams will advance to play on Saturday against either Boston University or Merrimack, who meet in the opening game on Friday. Notre Dame hasn’t played in the NCAA tournament since 2022 and coach Jeff Jackson is 412-275-73 in his 20th season. The Crimson missed the postseason last spring after back-to-back NCAA tournament appearances. Harvard alum Ted Donato is 307-262-73 in his 20th year leading the program.

The Fighting Irish come off being swept at home 6-3 and 5-3 by Minnesota on Nov. 22-23. Cole Knuble and Danny Nelson lead the squad with six goals each while Knuble’s 14 points are the most on the roster. Owen Say is 4-5-0 in nine starts in goal with a .926 save percentage and 2.72 goals-against average.

Harvard dropped a 5-3 decision at UMass on Nov. 22, its third straight loss. Marek Hejduk and Mick Thompson scored 23 seconds apart in the second period to give the Crimson a 2-1 lead before UMass potted four unanswered goals. Thompson, Ben McDonald, Hejduk, Joe Miller and Mason Langenbrunner have two goals apiece and Thompson leads the team with seven points. Aku Koskenvuo has done all the goaltending thus far, with a .906 save percentage and 2.65 GAA.

The all-time series favors Harvard 6-2-0, with the most recent meeting a 4-1 Crimson victory at Notre Dame’s old Shillelagh Tournament on Nov. 27, 2015.
