Brody Lamb and No. 3 Minnesota will take the ice against Riley Thompson and No. 11 Ohio State in the second game of a two-game series on Saturday night.

Minnesota, the No. 3 ranked team in the country in college hockey, will travel to Columbus, Ohio, for a bout with the No. 11 ranked team in the nation, Ohio State, on Saturday night for the second game of a two-game series. The Minnesota Golden Gophers head into this series against Ohio State with a 17-3-2 record overall and an 8-1-1- against conference teams in the Big Ten. They are 9-1-2 at home while 6-1 on the road. After drawing and losing a two-game series against No. 1 Michigan State, they took on Mercyhurst last weekend in a two-game series.

They picked up two big wins on Friday and Saturday night, winning the first game 6-2 and the second 5-2 at 3M Arena at Mariucci. Jimmy Snuggerud leads the team with 28 total points this season coming off of 11 goals and a team-high 17 assists. Brody Lamb leads the team in scoring this season with 13 goals and seven assists for 20 total points.

The Ohio State Buckeyes head into this series with a 14-5-1 record overall and a 7-3-0 record against Big Ten Conference teams. They are 8-0-1 at home and 5-5 on the road. Last week, they went on the road to Chicago, Illinois, for a game against Michigan at Wrigley Field. They came away with a 4-3 win in that game with goals from Riley Thompson (twice), Noah Powell, and Sam Deckhut.

They played Michigan again that Sunday, but both teams traveled back up to Ann Arbor for a home game for Michigan. They lost that game 3-2 in overtime. Gunnarwolfe Fontaine scored the two goals for Ohio State in the first period before Michigan slowly climbed back into it. They scored one goal in the second period, one in the third, and the game-winner in overtime.
