After a sweep last weekend, Minnesota Duluth will try to extend its winning streak on Friday. The Bulldogs will take on No. 18 Colorado College.

In the late window of NCHC action on Friday night, Minnesota Duluth (8-11-1, 4-6-0 NCHC) will be on the road taking on No. 18 Colorado College (10-9-1, 4-5-1 NCHC) at Ed Robson Arena in the first of two games between the teams this weekend. Last year’s series between these two teams was a close one, with three of the four games going to overtime. The Tigers won two of those games, while Duluth had one win with one tie as well.

Minnesota Duluth comes into this matchup with momentum. Last week the Bulldogs were at home, and swept St. Cloud State in what was their first in-conference action in over a month after the New Year’s break. Minnesota won the two games by scores of 2-0 and 5-2. It was a big weekend for freshman forward Max Plante, who had three points between the two games.

Colorado College also returned to conference play last weekend for the first time since the break. The Tigers were on the road at Omaha, and got swept by the Mavericks in two games.

The Tigers are led by graduate defenseman Ty Gallagher. He has a team-high 14 points in 20 games, with his five goals tied for the team lead.
