The final game in the regular season in college hockey is a huge rivalry matchup between Minnesota-Duluth (12-18-3) and St. Cloud State (13-18-1). These teams played just 24 hours earlier in an overtime thriller. The Huskies came out on top after the teams were tied at the end of regulation. The Bulldogs were in control of the game for the first 37 minutes of the game building a 2-0 lead. From there the Huskies slowly worked their way back with a goal in the final two minutes of the second period followed by a game tying goal with less than a minute to go in regulation.

Josh Zinger tied the game with a remarkable goal in the third period with 20.9 seconds to go in regulation. The puck found him with a mosh pit of players between the net and with a flick of his wrists he found the back of the net and lit the lamp to send the game to overtime.

Then in overtime the Huskies found themselves on a power play with the chance to win the game. With 30 seconds to go in overtime on that power play Cooper Wylie found the angle he liked and slapped home the game winning goal. The teams line up just 24 hours later to close out the season against each other.

For the Bulldogs Zam Plante started the scoring in the first period followed by a goal from Anthony Menghini in the second period. The scoring stopped there for the Bulldogs in a tough 3-2 overtime loss to their in-state rivals in Minnesota.
