That weekend was a big one for freshman goalie Klayton Knapp, who made a total of 48 saves between the two games.

Last weekend Minnesota Duluth was at home against Miami (OH). The Bulldogs won the first game of that weekend series 3-2, then tied the second at 1-1.

Meanwhile the Huskies visited No. 7 Denver last weekend. That series was split, with St. Cloud State lost 3-1 in the first game and then winning the second game 2-1.

Coming into this game, Minnesota Duluth is trying to hold off St. Cloud State for the seventh seed in the conference tournament. The Bulldogs come in five standing points up, so just one win – regulation or overtime, will clinch that spot. They’re also chasing No. 20 Colorado College, but would need a sweep and then Colorado College to get swept by Denver to have a shot at moving up to the sixth spot.
