The two teams met again on Saturday back in Boston and played to a 1-1 tie. It was a busy game for both goalies – Northeastern’s Cameron Whitehead stopped 29 shots, while New Hampshire’s Jared Whale stopped 28. Northeastern was given the unofficial win in a shootout.

Coming into this game, both teams have won two in a row. New Hampshire was at home last weekend and swept RIT in a pair of dominant performances in non-conference action. The Wildcats won the first game of the weekend 5-1 and then followed that with a 6-1 win the next day.

Northeastern played just one game last weekend. In a rare Sunday contest, the Huskies welcomed in Bentley and came away with a 3-1 non-conference win. Prior to that the Huskies had a weekend series with No. 3 Boston College and won the second game 4-2 in what was their first official conference win of the 2024-25 regular season.
