The Nittany Lions didn’t lead in the game until Matt DiMarsico scored in overtime to give them the win. They trailed by one in the first and in the second, but Dane Dowiak and JJ Wiebusch scored to tie it at one and two. Arsenii Sergeev got the win in the net for the Nittany Lions and is now 19-8-4 on the season. He has the third most wins in a single season for the Nittany Lions.

The Terriers will be looking to keep the Nittany Lions from making their first-ever national championship game.

The Terriers come into the semifinal game at 23-13-2 on the season and on a two-game winning streak.

They lost to UConn in the conference tournament semifinal, but have turned it on in the NCAA Tournament. They whipped Ohio State 8-3 in the semifinals of the regional and then knocked off Cornell to earn their trip to the Frozen Four.

They gave up a late goal to Cornell to send the game to overtime, but Quinn Hutson scored 6:25 in the extra period to give them the win and a trip to the Frozen Four.
