Providence goes for its eighth straight win on Tuesday night when it visits Brown in the Mayor’s Cup in college hockey.

The Providence Friars face-off against the Brown Bears in college hockey action on Tuesday. The Friars come in red-hot as they have won seven straight and it has pushed their record to 14-3-2 on the season. Four of their seven wins have come against ranked opponents, including a two-game sweep of No. 8 Colorado College a month ago. This is their first game in eight days and they are hoping the break won’t slow them down. They won on the road in their last game, as they took down Dartmouth 5-3. The Friars haven’t lost since a defeat to No. 20 UMass 5-1 back on Nov. 16. That loss was their second in a row, but they have been great since. Logan Will is the team leader in assists with 11 and points with 17. Tanner Adams is the team’s top goal scorer with nine.

The Bears will look to slow down the high-powered Friars as they try and snap a two-game losing streak.

They come into the game on Tuesday after losing to Union 3-1 on Friday and Rensselaer 4-3 on the Saturday.

The Bears now sit at 4-6-2 on the season and they have only won two games in a row once this season.

It has not been the best season for the Bears and they are hoping they can pick up a big upset on Tuesday and start to turn things around.
