The Eagles earned a first round bye in tournament play after finishing atop the Hockey East standings with a conference record of 18-4-2 and an overall record of 26-6-2. The team’s most recent game was also played against Merrimack, but the Eagles had a much easier time against the Warriors, winning handily in a 6-0 victory. Gabe Perreault and Teddy Stiga each finished the game with a brace while Connor Joyce and Ryan Leonard added one goal apiece to the scoreboard. Jacob Fowler earned the shutout in net for the Eagles, making 27 saves to earn his eighth shutout of the season.
