In the NCHC, the two top teams in the standings meet for a pair of games just three weeks out from the conference tournament. It will be No. 3 Western Michigan (22-5-1, 15-2-1 NCHC) and No. 12 Arizona State (17-11-2, 12-7-1 NCHC), who come into the weekend in first place and second place respectively, squaring off at Mullett Arena in Tempe. These are the only two regular season matchups between these teams this year.
