Few teams in college hockey have been better than Holy Cross since the calendar flipped to 2025. The Crusaders will take an eight-game unbeaten streak on the road this weekend for a pair of AHA conference games against RIT, starting Friday night at the Gene Polisseni Center.

The month of January was a good one for Holy Cross (15-11-2, 14-4-2 AHA), and that momentum has continued into February. Holy Cross is currently on a six game winning streak (eight games when counting shootouts), and the team hasn’t lost in regulation since New Year’s Eve. This run has coincided with AHA conference play, shooting the Crusaders up the conference standings. They enter this weekend in second place, looking to keep moving up in a weekend series against RIT (7-20-1, 6-13-1 AHA) at the Gene Polisseni Center starting on Friday night.

Holy Cross nearly lost the winning streak last weekend at home against Canisius. In the first of the two games in that weekend series the Crusaders and Golden Eagles went to overtime, but Holy Cross pulled off the 3-2 win on Saturday. Then on Sunday the Crusaders had a more convincing win, coming out on top 4-1.

RIT is also coming off of a weekend sweep in conference play. The Tigers were out in Colorado visiting Air Force, and had a 3-2 overtime win of their own as well as a 2-1 win.

Coverage of this game can be found on NESN Plus. Puck drop from Rochester is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET.
