How to Watch Packers at Vikings on FOX
Sunday football kicks off in Week 1 with bitter NFC North rival Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings. TANNEN MAURY/EPA.

The Green Bay Packers clinched the NFC North on the last game of the season last year against the Minnesota Vikings. This will be the first premier Sunday game of the 2020 season. While Kirk Cousins really doesn't worry about contracting the coronavirus, his counterpart in Wisconsin Aaron Rodgers may be concerned that his team is doing the exact same thing to him as they did Brett Favre when they drafted Rodgers in 2005.

The Packers drafted quarterback Jordan Love out of Utah State in the first round when they desperately needed picks at skill positions after the Packers got blown out in the NFC Championship by the San Francisco 49ers. Will Love be the QB in Green Bay soon or will Rodgers continue to perform at an elite level and keep his job? We'll get a first taste on Sunday.

This game should be very closely contested with the Vikings only getting a slight advantage since they'll be at home. Both of these teams lost to the 49ers in the playoffs last season and they will both look to their run games to make up for their lack of weapons in the air.

Head Coach Matt LeFleur really turned this Packers team around after the team became stagnant under new Dallas Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy. LeFleur got duel threat running back Aaron Jones more involved so all the pressure wouldn't be on their star QB. The results were there but the relationship between Rodgers and LeFleur wasn't instant chemistry. The two though have reportedly improved their working relationship in the offseason.

If they sign one more free agent receiver during the season to relieve Davante Adams of some of those double teams, that might put them over the top to at least be favored to get back to at least the NFC Championship. Will this be Aaron Rodgers last go-around before the Love era starts in Green Bay? Having another great season may just stall the inevitable.
