Women's soccer takes center stage as the Olympic competition is coming down to the wire. The first match of the day is at 4 in the morning ET but don't worry there will be plenty of replays. That match will be against the continental rivals United States vs. Canada. The Canadian women won the bronze medal in the 2016 Rio Olympics and will be a tough test for the USWNT. Canada beat the Brazilian team in a shootout after regulation finished in a 0-0 tie. That is the same team that they beat in 2016 for the bronze.
The United States got into this game in the same manner as Canada, beating the Netherlands in a shootout after a 0-0 tie. The win was a huge step back to normal as the USWNT got knocked out of the quarterfinals in the 2016 and looked completely out of their element in the Olympic opener losing to Sweden 3-0. Speaking of, the Swedish team will play right after the USA and Canada trying to get revenge after their silver medal finish in Rio against Germany.
Germany did not qualify this Olympics but Sweden will face off this year in the semis against Australia. That game starts at 7 a.m. ET. Can Team USA get back to their winning ways and win their fifth gold medal in the Olympics? Don't miss any of the action live on USA and replay on NBC.
