To say there might be a bit of a disparity headed into the world’s oldest tennis tournament might be a bit of an understatement. Well first, the Men’s Final at Wimbledon will be a precursor to another giant event at Wembley Stadium in London when England hosts Italy in Euro 2020. But first Matteo Berrettini and Novak Djokovic will face off at Wimbledon. So here’s where the disparity comes in. Berrettini will be making his first major final appearance. Djokovic will be making his 30th major final appearance. The odds for this match reflect that fact. Djokovic is at -450 odds to win this tournament while Berrettini is a +360 underdog.

Djokovic is technically the defending champ here winning Wimbledon in 2019 after the 2020 tournament was cancelled for the first time since World War II because of the COVID-19 pandemic. While the Australian Open might be forever his best tournament, Djokovic has won five times here which is his second most majors including the last two titles. He also has beat Berrettini in their two meetings. The Italian though has the power in his serves to match Djokovic. That will be the key for him to pull off this tremendous upset.
