It's funny how much a narrative can change in just one game. Before Game 3 of the NBA Finals, many pundits thought this series was a wrap. Certainly the "Suns in 4" guy thought so. But there is a reason that Milwaukee Bucks fans have a saying of "Fear the Deer." The Deer District and the fans inside the Fiserv Forum really gave the Bucks the momentum they needed to get back in the series. They blew out Phoenix 120-100 and now some have to say that Phoenix is now in trouble.

This is exactly why Kobe Bryant wasn't satisfied with going up 2-0 in the 2009 Finals against the Orlando Magic. Even though the Los Angeles Lakers won that series 4-1, Bryant knew the job wasn't finished. Let's not go to the opposite extremes now and say the Bucks are going to dominate the rest of the way. Let us just enjoy the fact that now this is a competitive series when it didn't look that way to start.

Besides an extra day off and home court another reason the Bucks were able to turn it around was because of the continued excellence of Giannis Antetokounmpo. He scored more than 40 points in back-to-back Finals games. The only other players to do that are LeBron James, Shaquille O'Neal, Michael Jordan, Jerry West and Rick Barry. That's on top of 13 rebounds and six assists. Remember he hyperextended his knee less than two weeks ago which is an incredible injury to come back from let alone that quickly. In Game 1 he scored 20 points in a very solid effort and no one could blame him for that loss. If the Bucks win, he will easily be the MVP.

Unfortunately for the Bucks though, it is table stakes for Antetokounmpo to play phenomenally if they are going to walk away with the Larry O'Brien Trophy. Fortunately for them, Giannis got that in spades in Game 3. Khris Middleton scored 18, Jrue Holiday scored 21 and Bobby Portis, who filled in valiantly when Giannis was injured in the Atlanta Hawks series, scored 11 off the bench that really helped with the rout.

The Suns had their worst loss of the postseason because they weren't able to get their Big 3 going on all cylinders. Deandre Ayton was in early foul trouble and Devin Booker uncharacteristically had 10 points. He has a tattoo on his forearm that says "Be Legendary" which is advice that the late great Kobe Bryant gave him. He has been just that most of these playoffs and in the first two games of these Finals. Look for his performance in the last game as motivation for this one. This series is all the sudden a brand new ball game.
