How to Watch Game 6 of the NBA Finals Phoenix Suns at Milwaukee Bucks

Momentum is a funny thing. At its essence it's really an unexplainable phenomenon. But the Bucks absorbed all of it after a Game 3 blowout when the series shifted back to Milwaukee. They haven't looked back and there is real reason to Fear the Deer as the Bucks are one win away from their first title since 1971. After two games to open the series in Phoenix, it looked like the Suns were going to win this series in 4 games. At most, maybe five.

Game 5 was supposed to change the narrative and get the pundits talking about Phoenix again. Instead they blew a 16-point lead and the Bucks won the first game for a road team in this series. Whether they win or lose Game 6, the Suns will be going home. They of course would just prefer to keep the drought out of the desert for a little while longer.

If Milwaukee wins this series, it is difficult to imagine that Giannis Antetokounmpo doesn't win Finals MVP. That is to take nothing away from Khris Middleton. Both Giannis and Middleton are the only players left from that 2013-14 team. That was the year Giannis was drafted 15th overall to Milwaukee and Middleton came over in a trade from the Detroit Pistons. That year the Bucks went 15-67. They have won 15 games in these playoffs heading into Game 6. They have been the foundation of this team trying to change the trajectory of a franchise longing for another championship.

It's true that the Bucks are 5-0 these playoffs when Middleton  scores 30+ points. They don't comeback and win without his clutch shooting late in Game 4. Middleton has made 15 game-tying or go-ahead shots in the fourth or in OT in these playoffs. That tied LeBron James in 2007 for the most in that category in the last 25 years according to ESPN. But the most iconic moments in these Finals have belonged to Giannis. First his outstanding block of Deandre Ayton late in Game 4 and of course securing the alley-oop from Jrue Holiday to ice ice Game 5. This was after scoring 40+ in both Game 2 and 3. That was all after hyperextending his knee in the Eastern Conference Finals which seems impossible for any player to come back from so quickly let alone thriving as much as Giannis has.

It's going to be a lot to ask from the Suns to win on the road with how much momentum has swayed to Milwaukee's favor. The Suns have to remember that they were leading by healthy margins in the last two games. Turnovers have still been a tremendous problem recently for the Suns but they have the closer in Devin Booker and if they get Chris Paul to play anything like he did in the two opening games of this series, there will be a Game 7 back in Phoenix.  That odds aren't in their favor but it wasn't that long ago that the Suns were the ones everyone was talking about. We'll see if they can shift the narrative one last time in this series.
