How to Watch Live Game 4: Vegas Golden Knights at Montreal Canadiens

There's no way Montreal should be up in this series. It almost seems impossible. Coming off a brilliant Game 2 performance, Vegas on paper was just too good to lose two games in a row. They hadn't lost in five games up to that point and they hadn't lost consecutive games since opening their second-round series with the Colorado Avalanche. They were riding a momentum high like no one else in these playoffs. Including the Canadiens who had a long layoff after sweeping Winnipeg. But resilience and defying every odd has been the story of the 2021 Montreal Canadiens.

They let go their coach mid-season and then they were missing their interim head coach Dominique Ducharme for Game 3 after testing positive for COVID-19. The Canadiens were down 2-1 with less than two minutes to go in regulation. Then future hall-of-famer Marc-Andre Fleury made an unthinkable error. Up until that point he had a brilliant game but Fleury misplayed the puck off the boards and right into the hands of Canadiens winger Josh Anderson where he capitalized on an empty net to send it to overtime. To add insult to injury, Anderson also scored the game winning goal in the extra period.

What makes Fleury one of the best goalies ever is that he was able to laugh his error off. He never gets to high or low. This team has gone through much adversity in these playoffs now trailing in every series they've played but they've always bounced back. That's why they will once again be favored on the road in Game 4. The Habs will be without their head coach once again but Ducharme says he expects to be back before a two-week absence especially after receiving both shots of the COVID-19 vaccine. Let's see if they can keep defying the odds in this series. Nothing has suggested so far that they can't. Ever since they've come back being down 3-1 against their archrival Toronto, this team has been on a mission.
