The Tampa Bay Lightning haven't lost in consecutive games in the playoffs this year. Even more impressively, they are 12-0 since last year's playoffs, when they won the Stanley Cup, after a loss. That's how you win a championship and that is why they are still favored in this series to get on step closer to defending their title. So if history is any indication, Game 5 is already in the bag for the Lightning as they lost Game 4 back on Long Island.

New York needed that game badly too to stop the bleeding after losing consecutive games after winning the series opener on the road. The Islanders have the precedent of winning at Amalie Arena in Tampa where many have been unsuccessful but it's going to be an uphill battle to take another one. That's what it's going to take to make it to their first Stanley Cup Final round since 1984 though. That was after a run of four straight Stanley Cup wins and they lost on their fifth straight appearance.

Another reason for the Lightning to be ultra confident is their superstar Brayden Point. He has scored in seven straight games and if that wasn't bad enough for Islanders fans, they have Nikita Kucherov is running away as points leader with 23. This team can score goals at any time as they showed in Game 4 when they were down 3-0 and made it close ultimately losing 3-2 but the Lightning had a golden opportunity with just seconds left in regulations.

Ryan Pulock made an unlikely save as goalie Semyon Varlamov was out of the net and Ryan McDonagh had an open shot. If Pulock didn't make that save obviously it would have went into overtime where you don't like the Islanders chances after losing confidence of what would have been a blown three goal lead. Pulock didn't just save the game but likely saved the Islanders season because they would have been down 3-1 going back to Tampa. It was the play of the entire season for the Islanders. Islanders coach Barry Trotz has been experimenting with shuffling lines and he must do that to keep the Lightning on their toes if they're ever going to have a chance of stealing one on the road.
