The Cardinals are coming off of a Louisville Regional tournament win. They were able to get game one in the win column after beating Southeast Missouri State. However, they lost their second game to Michigan.
They beat Oregon 8-5 to force a championship rematch with Michigan. A tiebreaker was forced after defeating them in the first game 20-1. Louisville won the tiebreaker and the tournament 11-9.
Texas A&M is the No. 5 team in the nation. The Aggies are 40-18 overall this season and 19-11 in the Southeastern Conference and against conference opponents.
They were able to sweep the College Station Regional in the last tournament they played in. They beat Oral Roberts 8-2 and then Louisiana 9-6. They won the championship 15-9 against TCU in the last game.
This is the first game of the College Station Super Regional.
