Nathan MacKinnon and the Colorado Avalanche will take the ice against Kyle Connor and the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night.
The No. 2 team in the Central Division, the Colorado Avalanche, will stay on the road for the second game of a best-of-seven series on Tuesday night against the No. 2 team in the division, the Winnipeg Jets, at the Canada Life Centre on Tuesday. The Jets lead the series 1-0 after winning the first game 7-6 on Sunday. Most of the goals were scored in the first period and ended 3-3 after the first.
Valeri Nichushkin scored the first goal putting the Avalanche ahead 1-0. Winnipeg came back and scored twice to knot it even and take the lead with goals from Josh Morrissey and Vladislav Namestnikov. Colorado evened it back up with a goal from Miles Wood, followed by Nathan MacKinnon whose goal took the lead. Mark Scheifele scored for Winnipeg, ending the period 3-3. Winnipeg scored the only goal of the second period from Adam Lowry. He scored again to open up the third period and put Winnipeg up 5-3.

The lead was extended by Kyle Connor six minutes into the third period to go up 6-3. Colorado scored to lessen the gap with a goal from Artturi Lehkonen on a power play. Winnipeg extended back the lead with another goal from Connor nine minutes in to make the score 7-4.
Colorado scored the final two goals from Cale Makar and Casey Mittelstadt. With 30 seconds left, Colorado wasn’t able to score the game-tying goal to send it to overtime. However, it will try to bounce back tonight and even the series 1-1.
