The NASCAR All-Star Race is ready to hit the Texas Motor Speedway for the second consecutive year. Even if there aren’t any points on the line, this race still has very high stakes with a grand prize of one million dollars. Hendrick Motorsports has won the last two All-Star races. Chase Elliott won this event in 2020 when it was the first time the race was held in Bristol. Kyle Larson won last year’s race.
There are 20 eligible drivers already for this race because they won a points race in 2021 or this year. There will be four spots available to 16 drivers trying to make it via the All-Star Open and then there will be a fan vote that will round out the drivers. This qualifying round involves a single-car, single-lap run as cars go out in reverse order of the current owner points. There is no better way to preview this race and see the sport’s best drivers all in one spot.
