Denny Hamlin starts on the pole at Nashville Superspeedway for Sunday’s Ally 400.
Qualifying was shortened by rain on Saturday, leaving Denny Hamlin on the pole for Sunday’s Ally 400 as the NASCAR Cup Series concludes a full weekend at the Nashville Superspeedway. It’s Hamlin’s second pole in four starts and his fourth straight race starting in the top 10 positions.

On the outside of Hamlin will be Joey Logano, with defending Cup champion Kyle Larson and this year’s points leader, Chase Elliott, on the second row. Daniel Suárez, coming off his first career victory two weeks ago at Sonoma, is in the fifth position and Ryan Blaney starts on the outside of Row 3.
Elliott comes to Nashville with a 16-point lead over Ross Chastain in the points race. Kyle Busch is 23 points back and Blaney is fourth with a 25-point deficit. Through 16 starts this season, Chastain leads the series with seven top-five finishes and is one of four drivers with two victories.
Larson won last year in Nashville, leading 264 of the 300 laps and taking a 4.335-second victory over Chastain. It was the first Cup Series race in Nashville since 1984 and the first ever at the Nashville Superspeedway, a 1.333-mile concrete oval.
