The Irish just played in the Statesboro Regional tournament, where they swept in three games. They beat Texas Tech 3-2 in game one before beating Georgia Southern 6-4 in game four. They were able to get the best of the Red Raiders again in the championship 2-1 in game six.

Tennessee is the No. 1 team in the nation with a 56-7 record overall this season. It is also 25-5 against Southeastern Conference opponents, which is one of the best power-five conference records in the country.
The Volunteers just swept a tournament of their own in the Knoxville Regional. They took game two 10-0 against Alabama State before beating Campbell in game four 12-7. Georgia Tech was the last team standing in their way, and they beat them 9-6 in game six.
This will be the first game of the Knoxville Super Regional.
