The MLB’s must anticipated Opening Day of the 2024 season is here and will be filled with a group of quality matchups. Specifically, this regional coverage will survey the games that you could be getting on MLB Network according to your region of the United States. The games that are starting at 4 p.m. ET will include the Detroit Tigers at Chicago White Sox, Minnesota Twins at Kansas City Royals, New York Yankees at Houston Astros, Pittsburgh Pirates at Miami Marlins, San Francisco Giants at San Diego Paders, St. Louis Cardinals at los Angeles Dodgers, Toronto Blue Jays at Tampa Bay Rays, and Washington Nationals at Cincinnati Reds. The majority of people will either see the Blue Jays/Rays game or the Cardinals/Dodgers game. No matter which game you will see, the kick off of the regular season is something that any baseball fan is looking forward to this time of year.

The Cardinals will start Mike Mikolas on the mound after he went 9-13 last season with 4.78 ERA. The 1-1 Los Angeles will match with Tyler Glasnow on the mound. He pitched five innings in one of the regular season games already for LA against San Diego and went five innings giving up two hits and two earned runs with three strikeouts.
Toronto will put Jose Berrios on the mound to start its Opening Day. Berrios was 11-12 in 2023 with a 3.65 ERA and 184 strikeouts. He will face-off against Tampa Bay’s ace Zach Eflin, who finished 16-8 in a great season last year. He had a 3.50 ERA with 186 strikeouts.
